Richard Ayers
Richard founded leading European sports digital marketing agency Seven League in 2012 and is seen as one of the leading thinkers in digital sports marketing, media and fan engagement. Among others, he works with FIFA, NBA, NFL, NHL, Sport England, UEFA, FC Barcelona, Juventus, Minnesota Vikings, Leicester City, England Netball, The FA, the Premier League, twitch and RIOT games.
Current Work
Richard is Special Advisor, providing advice and consultation to the Centre on its communications strategy, particularly in the area of social media engagement. He will also work with the Centre on its digital outreach, tools and products for sports federations.
Previous Experience
Originally a BBC journalist who launched BBC News online in 1997, Richard has spent most of his career in media. His first sports business role was as Manchester City’s first Head of Digital in 2011-13.
