Alison has experience in researching and benchmarking corporate practices against recognised industry standards, and has worked with companies on human rights issues in the extractives, apparel, retail and food and beverage sectors.
As a Project Coordinator, Alison is responsible for managing the coordination of the Centre’s activities, as well as contributing to project management, Centre events and research.
Alison joined IHRB in June 2017 as part of the core team developing the Centre. Before this, she worked for three and a half years at the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment where she worked with investors on their corporate engagement activities. She worked across several sectors and topics covering the full range of environmental, social and governance themes, before focusing more on the human rights impacts of companies and what investors should do to address these risks in their portfolios. She holds an MSci in International Relations from the University of Nottingham and also attended the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).
