NBCUniversal, one of the world’s leading media and entertainment companies, is joining the Advisory Council of the Centre for Sport and Human Rights (CSHR). NBCUniversal joins other broadcast companies in CSHR’s Advisory Council who are working together to respect human rights in sport through individual and collective action and promotion of the Sporting Chance Principles.
Mary Harvey, CEO, CSHR said: “We are delighted to welcome NBCUniversal to the Advisory Council of the Centre for Sport and Human Rights. They bring a wealth of experience in sport to the Centre and our work. Broadcasters have a vital role to play in the ecosystem of sport and often have to work in high-risk areas where human rights need to be protected. We look forward to working with the team at NBCUniversal to help them further embed human rights into their work in sport.”
