In 2023 the Centre for Sport and Human Rights is partnering with the World Academy of Sport to launch the Global Sport and Human Rights Academy. The Academy will be the first of its kind in the field, establishing online open courses and developing bespoke content on critical topics and themes in sport and human rights, including tailored pathways for different stakeholders - federations, sponsors or others in the sports ecosystem.
Join the mailing list now to register your interest and we'll be in touch as soon as the first module - Sport and Human Rights 101 is launched in 2023.
This module will be free to access and will equip participants with a foundational understanding of the opportunities and risks facing those who deliver sport and host major events. It also outlines how we can work together towards achieving a world of responsible sport rooted in international human rights standards.
The 101 will be an entry point for more detailed deep dives unpacking key issues such as human rights due diligence, stakeholder engagement, and significant themes in sport such as access to remedy, discrimination, and freedom of expression.
